Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technology trends (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) and develop strategic roadmaps for 2026 market readiness
- Lead cross-functional workshops with R&D, product, and executive teams to align innovation priorities
- Conduct scenario planning for disruptive technologies and their industry-wide implications
- Develop patent strategies and competitive analysis for emerging tech domains
- Present future technology frameworks to C-suite executives and external investors
- Partner with academic institutions and government labs to identify breakthrough research opportunities
- Build and mentor a team of technology futurists and innovation analysts
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation consulting
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, climate tech)
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercialized products
- Experience with scenario planning frameworks and technology impact assessments
- Strong executive communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures
- Advanced degree in relevant field (Engineering, Computer Science, Futures Studies) or equivalent experience
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation or industry disruption
