Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, synthetic biology) to map 3-5 year strategic roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional sprints with robotics, blockchain, and climate tech teams to prototype 2026-viable solutions
- Author predictive whitepapers and scenario-planning frameworks for C-suite and board stakeholders
- Curate exclusive 'Future Forward' forums with MIT, Stanford, and NASA innovation labs
- Translate complex scientific forecasts into actionable product development priorities
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning and pattern recognition methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Future Studies, Systems Theory, or Computational Social Science
- 5+ years in strategic foresight at Fortune 500 tech firms or national research labs
- Published author in Nature Futures or similar peer-reviewed futurism journals
- Expertise in scenario planning tools (STEEP-PESTEL, Delphi method)
- Portfolio demonstrating predictive accuracy for at least 3 major tech disruptions
- Fluency in Python/R for trend analysis and simulation modeling
- Security clearance or DOE lab experience preferred
