Responsibilities
- Architect and implement the 2026 technology innovation strategy, identifying emerging trends with 5+ year impact potential
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing and launching 3-5 disruptive proof-of-concepts annually
- Secure and manage $2M+ annual innovation budget, optimizing resource allocation for maximum ROI
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators for cutting-edge R&D
- Present innovation roadmaps to executive leadership and board members, securing buy-in for ambitious initiatives
- Mentor junior innovators and cultivate a culture of calculated risk-taking and rapid iteration
- Monitor global tech patents and academic publications to identify breakthrough opportunities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology innovation, with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record launching at least two market-defining products or platforms
- Expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence, or sustainable tech
- Executive presence with ability to articulate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Experience securing multi-million dollar R&D budgets and managing P&L for innovation units
- Published thought leadership in innovation management or future technology trends
- Proficiency in innovation frameworks (e.g., Design Thinking, Lean Startup, Futures Literacy)
