Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic innovation roadmaps targeting 2026 market opportunities
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen technologies (AI, quantum computing, sustainable materials)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging trends and disruptors
- Drive R&D initiatives with $5M+ annual budget allocation
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Ensure compliance with evolving ethical AI and sustainability frameworks
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech
- Proven track record launching futuristic products (post-2020)
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, biotech, or climate tech
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience managing innovation budgets >$3M annually
- Strong network with Silicon Valley and Austin tech ecosystems
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., CFSD) preferred
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation journals
