Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year innovation roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology sectors
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (AR/VR, nanotech, sustainable energy)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused project execution
- Partner with academic institutions and government agencies on future-focused initiatives
- Author thought leadership publications on emerging tech trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D management, or futurist consulting
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Proven track record scaling technologies from concept to market
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive/board experience
- Published research or patents in futuristic technologies
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong network with tech innovators and research institutions
