Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 2026 technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI ethics, and sustainable infrastructure
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with transformative potential by 2026
- Design and implement innovation frameworks for rapid prototyping of breakthrough concepts
- Present strategic visions to C-suite executives and external stakeholders including government bodies
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio with quarterly ROI assessments
- Develop patent strategies for proprietary 2026 technology solutions
- Mentor junior futurists and build internal innovation ecosystems
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or emerging tech development
- Proven track record of launching technologies with 3-5 year market impact
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AGI governance, or climate tech
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Futurist Studies
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA, etc.)
- Proficiency in innovation methodologies (Design Thinking, TRIZ, Scenario Planning)
- Portfolio of 3+ implemented technologies with measurable market disruption
