Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors (AI ethics, quantum applications, climate tech)
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies with 2026 commercial viability
- Architect prototype systems integrating next-gen computing paradigms
- Partner with C-suite to align innovation initiatives with long-term business strategy
- Present future-tech insights at industry conferences and thought leadership forums
- Mentor R&D teams in adopting future-proof development methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology R&D with proven track record in emerging tech adoption
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic systems, or climate tech
- Published research or patents in future-facing technology domains
- Experience leading cross-functional innovation teams in Fortune 500 settings
- MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Fluency in future forecasting methodologies (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Portfolio demonstrating technology transition from concept to market
