Responsibilities
- Design and implement technical architectures for AI interpretability and value alignment.
- Conduct adversarial testing and red-teaming exercises to identify vulnerabilities in model behavior.
- Collaborate with research scientists to develop reward models and constraint-based training objectives.
- Create benchmarks and evaluation metrics to measure safety and robustness.
- Document alignment methodologies and contribute to open-source safety tools.
- Advise product teams on the ethical implications of deploying new AI features.
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning research or applied AI engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Deep understanding of Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) and Constitutional AI.
- Experience with large language models (LLMs) and transformer architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for AI safety and ethics.
