Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI ethics governance frameworks for autonomous decision-making systems
- Conduct bias audits and fairness assessments across machine learning pipelines
- Advocate for ethical AI design principles in cross-functional development sprints
- Monitor and report on regulatory compliance (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, etc.)
- Lead stakeholder workshops to establish ethical AI adoption roadmaps
- Author transparency documentation for explainable AI deployments
- Collaborate with legal teams on AI liability and risk mitigation strategies
- Stay current with emerging AI ethics research and global policy developments
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, Law, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in AI governance, compliance, or ethics leadership role
- Deep understanding of EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and OECD AI Principles
- Experience conducting algorithmic bias assessments and fairness evaluations
- Proven ability to translate ethical concepts into technical requirements
- Strong stakeholder management skills with executive presence
- Certification in AI Ethics (e.g., IEEE, Stanford, or equivalent) required
- Published research or thought leadership in responsible AI (strongly preferred)
