Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce ethical governance frameworks for AI systems including bias mitigation, transparency protocols, and accountability measures
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for autonomous decision-making systems in healthcare, finance, and critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement ethical-by-design principles throughout the AI development lifecycle
- Create audit trails and compliance documentation for regulatory bodies including the 2026 Federal AI Accountability Act
- Lead cross-functional working groups on emerging AI ethics challenges including deepfakes, algorithmic discrimination, and autonomous weapons
- Advocate for ethical AI standards at industry conferences and regulatory hearings
- Mentor junior developers on responsible AI practices through our internal certification program
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, Law, or related field with 5+ years AI governance experience
- Proven expertise in developing ethical AI frameworks and compliance documentation
- Deep understanding of global AI regulations including EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and emerging US legislation
- Strong background in risk assessment methodologies for autonomous systems
- Certification in AI ethics (e.g., IEEE Ethically Aligned Design) or equivalent practical experience
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethical concepts to technical teams
- Published research or practical implementations in AI ethics, bias mitigation, or algorithmic accountability
