You'll architect governance frameworks, audit AI models for bias, and collaborate with engineering teams to embed fairness principles into the development lifecycle. This pivotal role reports directly to our Chief Technology Officer and will influence industry-wide standards through our open-source ethics toolkit.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI ethics governance frameworks for 2026-era autonomous systems
- Conduct bias audits and impact assessments on machine learning models
- Develop company-wide AI ethics training programs for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate fairness metrics into CI/CD pipelines
- Represent the organization in AI ethics forums and contribute to regulatory discussions
- Lead incident response protocols for AI ethics violations
- Maintain real-time monitoring dashboards for model fairness metrics
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field (Master's with 8+ years experience considered)
- 5+ years implementing AI ethics frameworks in enterprise environments
- Deep expertise in EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and upcoming 2026 regulations
- Proficiency with bias detection tools (IBM Fairness 360, Google What-If Tool)
- Published research in AI ethics or responsible AI (peer-reviewed journals)
- Experience cross-functional leadership between engineering, legal, and policy teams
- Strong background in explainable AI (XAI) and model interpretability techniques
