Collaborate with C-suite executives, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders to build trust in AI applications across healthcare, finance, and infrastructure sectors. Work remotely from our Austin hub with quarterly in-person innovation retreats.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive AI ethics frameworks aligned with EU AI Act, NIST standards, and evolving global regulations
- Lead cross-functional ethics audits for autonomous systems, predictive analytics, and generative AI tools
- Design stakeholder engagement protocols for bias mitigation, algorithmic transparency, and explainability
- Conduct scenario planning for emerging ethical dilemmas in quantum-AI convergence and biotech interfaces
- Establish governance mechanisms for AI deployment in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, critical infrastructure)
- Author thought leadership on ethical AI adoption and present at industry forums
- Mentor junior data scientists on responsible AI development practices
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, Law, or related field with 5+ years AI governance experience
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST RMF, ISO/IEC 42001) with proven compliance implementation
- Strong background in bias detection techniques and fairness metrics for ML systems
- Experience designing ethics review boards and stakeholder consultation processes
- Publication record in AI ethics or demonstrated thought leadership (e.g., TEDx talks, industry white papers)
- Technical fluency in ML model interpretation tools (SHAP, LIME) and data privacy protocols
- Ability to translate complex ethical concepts into actionable engineering requirements
- Certification in AI ethics (e.g., IBM AI Ethics, Stanford HAI) preferred
