Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology strategy aligning with 2026 industry forecasts and market disruption
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify breakthrough technologies in AI, quantum computing, and synthetic biology
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-facing capabilities into development roadmaps
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Establish innovation partnerships with leading academic institutions and R&D labs
- Mentor cross-functional teams on emerging technology adoption and future-proofing methodologies
- Author thought leadership publications on technological convergence and industry disruption
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Computer Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, innovation consulting, or corporate R&D leadership
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends and translating them to commercial opportunities
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, or synthetic biology
- Executive presentation skills with experience communicating complex futures to non-technical audiences
- Published author or speaker at global tech conferences (e.g., Web Summit, CES)
- Proficiency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., scenario planning, Delphi technique)
- Experience building and leading high-performing innovation teams
