Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) with 5-10 year impact potential
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps aligning with organizational vision and market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling experimental technologies
- Establish partnerships with research institutions, startups, and government innovation labs
- Present strategic technology briefings to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Monitor global tech policy shifts and regulatory frameworks affecting innovation
- Build and maintain a technology radar system for continuous trend evaluation
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven experience with emerging tech assessment methodologies (e.g., Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Track record of launching at least two disruptive technology initiatives
- Certification in Foresight Methodology (e.g., from Association of Professional Futurists)
- Portfolio demonstrating technology forecasting and scenario planning work
