Responsibilities
- Develop 3-year technology roadmaps aligning with emerging trends in quantum computing, biotech convergence, and decentralized systems
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints prototyping next-gen solutions (AR interfaces, neuromorphic chips, carbon-negative tech)
- Establish strategic partnerships with university research labs and government innovation initiatives
- Conduct horizon scanning across 15+ emerging technology domains
- Present technology forecasts and adoption strategies to C-suite and board members
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation portfolio with ROI-focused metrics
- Mentor junior technologists in future-thinking methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Strategic Innovation (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI ethics, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching commercialized innovations
- Strong understanding of technology adoption curves and market disruption patterns
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts to stakeholders
- Published research or patents in forward-looking technologies
