- Identify emerging tech trends (biotech, nanotech, climate tech) for portfolio expansion
- Secure partnerships with academic institutions and government labs
- Present findings to C-suite and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Mentor junior researchers in future-focused methodologies
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in emerging technologies
- Expertise in AI, quantum computing, or climate tech systems
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products/services
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Experience with government innovation grants (DARPA, NSF, etc.)
- Strong network in Silicon Valley and global tech ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism (IEEE, Nature, etc.)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Technology Forecasting
