- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping emerging technologies (quantum AI, neural interfaces, carbon-negative systems)
- Conduct horizon scanning for disruptive innovations and competitive threats
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and investors through compelling data-driven narratives
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget for experimental tech initiatives
- Collaborate with MIT, Stanford, and EU research labs on next-gen breakthroughs
- Establish KPIs to track technology adoption and ROI for future-focused projects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech roles with demonstrated impact on 3+ major technology shifts
- Expertise in at least 3 emerging tech domains (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, biocomputing)
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies
- Track record of launching products/services with 7-figure revenue impact
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism preferred
- Experience leading distributed teams across 5+ time zones
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature Technology, or similar journals
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools and predictive analytics platforms
