Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions in quantum computing and AI ethics
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Partner with VPs of Engineering to integrate innovations into core product ecosystems
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget for experimental initiatives
- Author thought leadership publications on future tech impact
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven track record launching at least 2 breakthrough technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains (quantum, biotech, AR/VR, etc.)
- Experience managing complex R&D budgets and cross-functional teams
- Prior work with Fortune 500 technology ecosystems
- Published research or patents in future technologies
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management preferred
