Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, bio-integrated AI, climate-positive tech) with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop strategic roadmaps for technology adoption across product lines and business units
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and market research teams
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for future tech domains
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to C-suite and board members
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to access emerging research
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation decisions
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation consulting
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (quantum, AI, or biotech preferred)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, climate tech, or neurotech
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-suite and investors
- Published research or patents in emerging technology fields
- Experience leading global innovation teams across multiple time zones
- Fluency in strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., scenario planning, Delphi technique)
