As a key member of our R&D leadership team, you'll analyze global tech trends, conduct scenario planning, and develop roadmaps for quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence, and sustainable tech ecosystems. You'll collaborate with C-suite executives to align technological investments with long-term corporate strategy while maintaining competitive advantage in rapidly evolving markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for disruptive technologies with 2026+ impact across AI, quantum, biotech, and climate tech sectors
- Develop and maintain technology roadmaps aligned with 5-year strategic business objectives
- Conduct risk/benefit analysis of emerging tech investments through proprietary evaluation frameworks
- Partner with product teams to integrate future tech capabilities into commercial offerings
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders with data-driven decision support
- Manage external innovation ecosystems including startups, research institutions, and standards bodies
- Establish KPIs for tracking technology adoption maturity and ROI
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or emerging technology consulting
- Proven experience developing tech roadmaps with 3-5 year horizons
- Deep expertise in at least two of these domains: quantum computing, generative AI, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategy
- Certification in technology foresight (e.g., from Institute for the Future) or relevant advanced degree
- Experience working with C-suite executives in Fortune 500 or high-growth tech environments
- Published thought leadership on emerging technology trends (white papers, patents, or keynote presentations)
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies and technology assessment frameworks
