Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research on emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and societal trends
- Develop and present 3-5 year strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify disruptive opportunities and threats
- Build and maintain a network of futurists, technologists, and industry thought leaders
- Translate complex future scenarios into actionable business strategies and product roadmaps
- Measure and track innovation KPIs using quantitative and qualitative frameworks
- Present findings to executive leadership and board members through compelling narratives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field; PhD preferred
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, product development, or futurism leadership
- Proven track record of successfully commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Exceptional communication skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Published thought leadership in innovation or futures publications
- Experience managing innovation portfolios with $50M+ impact
