Responsibilities
- Map emerging technological and societal trends to identify disruptive opportunities through horizon scanning and scenario planning
- Design and lead cross-functional innovation initiatives from concept to market-ready prototypes
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies including quantum computing, synthetic biology, and advanced AI systems
- Present visionary insights to executive leadership and external stakeholders through compelling narratives
- Build and lead a dedicated innovation lab focused on 2026-era breakthroughs
- Partner with venture capital teams to scout and integrate cutting-edge startups
- Establish industry thought leadership through whitepapers, patents, and conference keynotes
Qualifications
- 10+ years in innovation strategy, R&D leadership, or futurism with proven track record of launching breakthrough products
- Advanced degree in Technology, Engineering, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, biotech, quantum computing, or sustainable systems
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to model complex interdependencies across disciplines
- Published thought leadership in innovation journals or major industry publications
- Experience leading global teams and managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets
- Portfolio of at least 3 major technology transitions successfully brought to market
- Proficiency in futures forecasting methodologies (Delphi, causal layered analysis)
