Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment
- Perform vital signs and basic EKGs
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Administer injections and medications as directed
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Handle insurance verification and billing support
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Basic EKG and phlebotomy skills
- New York State BLS certification required
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work flexible shifts (evenings/weekends)
- Valid NYS driver's license (for occasional travel)
