Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests
- Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR)
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communications
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Coordinate referrals with specialists and external providers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program
- CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
