Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations and clinical procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations under provider supervision
- Manage patient records using EHR systems and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Schedule appointments, handle billing inquiries, and assist with insurance verification
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; CMA/RMA certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical office setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse patients
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Current BLS/CPR certification and valid MA state license
