Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sanitized and readily available
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and minor treatments
- Perform accurate vital signs measurements and document patient histories
- Administer medications and injections following established protocols
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or experience preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
