Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and injections under supervision
- Perform EKGs, vital sign monitoring, and basic lab tests
- Manage patient records using EHR systems
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Maintain sterile examination rooms and equipment
- Process insurance claims and billing documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced settings
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Pass background check and drug screening
