Responsibilities
- Monitor system health, performance, and uptime for critical servers and network infrastructure.
- Resolve complex technical tickets (Tier 2/3) with minimal supervision during night hours.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, patch deployments, and security updates during low-traffic windows.
- Escalate critical issues to the Day Shift engineering team and provide detailed handover documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement long-term technical solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all company IT security policies and protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or engineering.
- Proficiency in Linux (RHEL/CentOS), Windows Server, and scripting languages (Python or Bash).
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Must be willing and available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
