Responsibilities
- Monitor server health, network performance, and security systems throughout the night shift to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Resolve technical issues and IT support tickets escalated from internal staff with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and software updates outside of peak business hours.
- Respond to system alerts and anomalies, escalating critical issues to the on-call systems engineer when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all incidents, resolutions, and system configurations.
- Conduct physical security checks and hardware inventory audits during scheduled night patrols.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or network administration.
- Proficient knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VPNs, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
