Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests
- Administer medications and immunizations under physician guidance
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Coordinate with overnight nursing staff for seamless care transitions
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (AAMA or AMT)
- Nevada state medical assistant license
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital/clinic setting
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
