Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic, server health, and application performance 24/7 during night shifts.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve critical technical incidents in a timely manner.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including patch management and system backups.
- Log all incidents, resolutions, and system changes into the ticketing system (ServiceNow/Jira).
- Collaborate with day-shift engineering teams to hand over operational status and pending escalations.
- Analyze trends in system alerts to proactively prevent future outages.
- Ensure strict compliance with IT security protocols and data privacy standards.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) or Help Desk support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, or similar).
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and handovers.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Security+ are highly preferred.
