Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and administer medications during overnight shifts
- Monitor critical patients using advanced telemetry and life support equipment
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care plans with on-call physicians and specialists
- Document patient records with precision using our EMR system
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and stabilize critical conditions
- Mentor junior staff and uphold departmental quality standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for overnight care protocols
Qualifications
- Active DC nursing license with BSN required
- Minimum 2 years ICU/ER night shift experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications mandatory
- Expertise in telemetry monitoring and emergency response
- EMR proficiency (Epic preferred)
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work autonomously in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
