Responsibilities
- Operational Efficiency: Execute the loading, unloading, and sorting of freight with speed and accuracy.
- Inventory Control: Perform cycle counts and maintain precise inventory records using handheld scanners.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Equipment Handling: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect products for damage and ensure proper packaging to prevent shipping errors.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with day shift staff to ensure seamless workflow transitions.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Prior warehouse or logistics experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Class A or B) is a plus.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and basic computer literacy.
