Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff during the night shift to ensure all targets are met efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a zero-accident work environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, oversee receiving and shipping processes, and conduct nightly cycle counts.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and motivate the night shift crew to improve performance and morale.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure forklifts and material handling equipment are inspected and operational.
- Quality Control: Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage, resolving discrepancies immediately.
- Reporting: Prepare daily shift reports, including productivity metrics and incident logs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts, holidays, and weekends.
- License: Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus but not required.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics preferred.
