Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vital sign measurement and medical history documentation
- Assist providers with clinical procedures and maintain sterile exam environments
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and appointment scheduling to optimize clinic operations
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, and perform basic laboratory tests as directed
- Inventory and stock medical supplies while ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Provide compassionate patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification or graduation from accredited program
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build patient rapport
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced medical environments
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Flexible availability including evening and weekend shifts
