Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-AI hybrid systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for large-scale quantum processors
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent novel quantum computing methodologies
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum computing interns
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NIH/NSF proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience with quantum algorithms and Q# programming
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum simulators (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Experience leading technical teams of 5+ researchers
- Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography standards (NIST PQC project)
