Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning frameworks for real-world applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum algorithms on 100+ qubit systems
- Develop hybrid AI-quantum solutions for enterprise clients in finance and healthcare
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Quantum)
- Mentor a team of 3-5 quantum engineers and PhD candidates
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Drive patent portfolio development (target: 5+ patents/year)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum machine learning or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and high-performance computing
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DoD)
- Strong background in at least one classical ML domain (NLP, CV, or RL)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
