Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures for commercial deployment by 2026
- Lead quantum algorithm development for machine learning and optimization problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence and error correction
- Develop quantum-safe encryption protocols for enterprise applications
- Present research findings at international quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (10+ years industry experience)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum computing frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion technologies
- Strong background in topological quantum computing models
- Proven track record of securing government research funding
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and variational quantum algorithms
- Patents or peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing (minimum 5)
