Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological quantum systems
- Develop quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists in prototyping quantum hardware
- Implement quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computation
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security initiatives for critical infrastructure
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at quantum computing conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware design
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed quantum computing research
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience leading technical teams in high-stakes R&D environments
- Security clearance eligibility for government collaboration projects
