Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum processor architectures using superconducting and photonic qubit technologies
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-disciplinary R&D teams to integrate quantum systems with classical high-performance computing frameworks
- Establish quantum error correction protocols and benchmarking methodologies for 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with government and industry partners to define quantum computing standards and roadmaps
- Drive innovation in quantum software development tools and compiler optimization techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction, topological quantum computing, and quantum algorithm design
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane) and HPC environments
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals or conference proceedings
- Experience leading complex technical projects with $1M+ budgets and cross-functional teams
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware constraints and cryogenic engineering principles
- Certification in quantum computing architecture from recognized institutions (e.g., IBM Q Network)
