Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Collaborate with physicists and hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance quantum system reliability
- Create simulation environments for testing quantum algorithms on classical systems
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and AI integration
- Document technical specifications and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to open-source quantum projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python and high-performance computing environments
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts clearly
