Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum computing research roadmap targeting 2026 commercialization milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, software engineers, and domain specialists
- Develop novel error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with product teams to translate quantum algorithms into enterprise solutions
- Secure $5M+ annual research funding through DARPA/NSF proposals
- Publish top-tier research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry R&D
- Proven track record of publishing in quantum algorithm development or hardware design
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and error mitigation techniques
- Experience managing research teams with $1M+ budgets
- Strong background in quantum machine learning or quantum cryptography
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research grants
- Patent portfolio with 3+ quantum computing innovations
