Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for NISQ-era and fault-tolerant systems
- Design hybrid quantum-classical architectures for enterprise applications
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor PhD researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $2M+ in government/private research funding annually
- Develop quantum-safe encryption protocols for 2026 infrastructure
- Collaborate with DARPA and NASA on space-based quantum networks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization
- Experience leading research teams with $1M+ budgets
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum control systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theory into practical applications
- Clearance for government research projects (or eligibility)
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences
