Responsibilities
- Lead development of fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for 2026 deployment targets
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Mentor cross-functional team of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA, NSF, and private sector partners
- Collaborate with industry leaders to translate quantum research into commercial solutions
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Drive adoption of quantum-safe cybersecurity protocols for Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong programming skills in Q#, Qiskit, or Cirq with Python proficiency
- Experience securing federal research grants (DARPA/NSF preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant roadmaps
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies or related fields
