Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, software engineers, and hardware specialists
- Develop quantum error correction protocols achieving fault-tolerant systems by 2026
- Secure $10M+ in government/industry grants for quantum research initiatives
- Pioneer hybrid quantum-classical computing architectures for commercial deployment
- Publish top-tier research in Nature/Science journals and lead industry standards development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Proven track record publishing in quantum computing (minimum 3 Nature/Science papers)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and hardware integration
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $5M and leading international teams
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance architectures
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into commercial prototypes
