Responsibilities
- Architect and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists in quantum hardware-software integration
- Develop error mitigation protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Partner with industry leaders to deploy quantum solutions in finance, logistics, and healthcare sectors
- Secure and manage $5M+ R&D budgets for quantum research initiatives
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of quantum research experience
- Published author in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed quantum computing publications
- Expertise in quantum error correction, topological qubits, or quantum annealing systems
- Proven track record of leading quantum computing projects with measurable outcomes
