Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Develop quantum error correction codes to achieve logical qubit stability
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum hardware-software integration
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Architect quantum cloud platforms for enterprise clients
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
- Secure $5M+ in federal grants for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming (Qiskit/Cirq/Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Strong background in superconducting or trapped-ion systems
- Experience securing SBIR/STTR grants
- Proven ability to translate theory into scalable prototypes
