Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm experiments using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor performance metrics
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proficiency in low-level programming (C++, Python) and high-performance computing environments
- Published record in quantum information science or quantum error correction
- Experience with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models into experimental prototypes
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical analysis
