Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop novel error-correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype and test quantum processors at millikelvin temperatures
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications and contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks
- Secure patents for breakthrough quantum methodologies and IP protection strategies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proficiency in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.) and fault-tolerance thresholds
- Expertise in quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped-ion, photonic)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum information theory
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and parallel quantum simulations
