Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead research initiatives targeting fault-tolerant quantum computing by 2026
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum error correction protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/ACM conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and build quantum computing curriculum frameworks
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Develop industry partnerships with Fortune 500 companies for quantum adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum algorithms or architectures
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Track record of securing government or corporate research grants
- Experience mentoring research teams and publishing technical documentation
